i have normal tv antenna with normal government tv, but my reception sucks. when the wind blows i see nothing

so i thought:

1. if i do the dish thing, will it improve my reception on the normal sabc and e tv channels?

2. seeing that it comes with a free installation 25km, the people installing it will make sure everything works before they leave?

3. at what point do you activate your dstv? before the installation or after?

thanks

you activate after the installation.

it will improve the reception imo if you are having problems now, except of course during a storm, however do not forget about your monthly subscription.

1. yup that is what dstv people also said: it will improve my reception.
2. and yes wont forget about the subscription.
3. so i guess they test with their own activated card then?

before it is activated it will show picture on channel 100, then it is ready for activation

well that is from my experience anyway but i am no installer so may be wrong

DSTV has a R20/month package which has SABC 1,2,3, etv & a handful of other channels. You still need your TV licence as well..

and yes will take tv license with.. i see hifi corp sells single view for R549..wonder if it wil go on "special"?? or is that the lowest it will go i wonder...
