Like so many other user I was deceived by Afrihost.
I had a Rain 100GB package and it was performing very poorly so after complaining constantly to Afrihost for 6 months about the poor connection and always being advised to reboot the modem, I eventually cancelled and kept the router as per the T'c and C's.
I then went onto signing up for a Cell C 100GB LTE offer. Nowehere on the marketing email or during the sign-up process was it stated that a R999 penalty would apply if I cancelled within 6 months. Now I queried the penalty and I get told that I should have migrated not cancelled the Rain and signed up for Cell C. I was never advised of this and Afrihost just doesn;t give a damn about waivering the penalty due to their agents providing pathetic support.
Please please warn your friends and family about Afrihost. They have really gone to ****
