The quality is shyte! You can barely hear the tune and it sounds like your on chapmans peak driving at 180 haning out the window with your mono car radio plating. Phoned them, they adjusted the volume for the tune, but it sounds the same. They gonna send it to technical, so i can safely assume that i lost my R5 cause nothing is gonna happen at all.

R5 is not alot, but if 20 000 people load it minimum, its R 100 000 for chapmans peak winds.

yea, buuuut... you can preview it b4 you buy it, if it sounds like shyte, dont buy it.

I agree ... but luckily I decided to try the free one first .. total crap ... and now I can't seem to find out how to get rid of the damn thing... if any knows, please let me know :)

Because of the frequency gsm works on its not suitable to play/stream audio. If you can get a song that isn’t very high or low pitched it should be o.k. But I agree the callertunez they have are very bad.

Would their customer care be able to help you, and i did not see the free one, still dont see it, and im gonna get them to give my R5 back, cause that fat chick in their advert with her music is totally a mis-representation of their product.

I still cannot understand this concept.

I dont call myself. What is the incentive for someone to hear a specific ring tune ? Whats in it for me ?

I dont understand.

Welcome to the world of Mobile Con-Artists. Aimed at kids to defraud their parents out of cash.

The other problem that I find is that people hang up when they hear the tune because they think its the voicemail going on.

This is really the most stupid thing MTN could've think of.

They have this service in the UK and it sounds the same, pretty cool I think, the quality isn't great, but **** its just a novelty thing, no train smash imho.

Why CallerTunez?

Because it makes business sense.

This market is predicted to grow to $1.2 billion in 2007.

RBT is a service that is immensely popular in all the markets that it has been launched in so it's pretty unfair to say it is "the most stupid thing MTN could've think (sic) of". The same was said of SMS 10 years ago!

Companies will continue to provide any product that the customer demands, ranging from Ninja Turtles to reality TV.

Like any other product on the market - it is up to the consumer to make the right financial choice and show some taste at the same time.

Where kids defraud their parents, it is the parent who allows himself to be manipulated.

Where the tune is silly, it is your buddy at the other end who selected that tune.

@ Whoiswarren, love your pc. But please stop bragging :p

Anyhow, I tried a couple myself and the ones that sound the best are the ones where they talk, and not sing with music. Currently I am using the one where a lady is saying: Your call is important... blah blah blah. Whoever phones can still hear the ringing as well and it is just typical of me to want to try out a new service. Once I get tired of it i'll remove it via mtnloaded.co.za

But first everyone I know must phone me!

But they do have some really annoying and just plain stupid tunez for sale. I don't believe it'll catch on. We'll all get bored sooner or later as it has no real purpose, unlike sms.
