Hi all.
A sordit tale to take note of. As if being scr**ed by Telkom is not enough someone is now doing it on behalf of Telkom. On Tuesday last week one of the ladies in debtors got a phone call from "Telkom" saying an incorrect amount was paid into our bank account and could she please reverse it and pay the difference back to "Telkom". Being a dilligent little worker she prepared everything to make the payment. One of the requirements to the payment was a request for documentation for the records for the reason of the reversal. She received the fax below. When she noticed the spelling of Megawatt park she got suspicious and raised the alarm. In addition the constant phone calls pressing for the payment to be made. Contacted the bank and handed over to the fraud division. Expecting the cheque to bounce it did so this morning. And can you believe it they have deposited a replacement cheque we can only presume as they will continue to try and get payment from us. I was thinking of setting a trap for them but it might be dangerous so we will have to see what the bank's fraud division is doing.
So just beware.
