BF2 Issue: Port Shaping?

bf 2 will struggle with 512 meg must run everything low and on 800x600 and you might be fine

i would go up with a 1 gig stick if i could

ive heard stories that bf uses as much 1.3 gigs of ram

I think stoke meant ADSL bandwidth, not RAM.

BF2 has appalling netcode - yes the gameplay is brilliant but I've never seen such a demanding game with so many technical anomolies....

Yup 70mb an hours usage is quite staggering...hopefully it will be fixed somewhat in the new patches

Thanks all, am going to try 384 and see if things happen. Also an interesting read for BF2 fans is http://www.firingsquad.com/guides/battlefield_2_optimization_guide/ . Somewhere there they recommend 2GB for smooth play. Thats a bit much! I have 1GB and I thought I was well off!
