Bf2 lag on Afrihost

Hi friends!

So I'm on Afrihost's adsl shaped line and whenever i play Bf2 on the SGS ranked servers, my ping shoots up to about 400ms. I've been playing bf2 since 2006 on all different connections so I've done all the tweaks and made all the settings and checked all the possibilities, but it still seems that via Afrihost I just get the worst lag.

Does anyone else have the same problem? On Axxess local it ran 100%. The only reason I don't change my setup to a route-sentry option using my local axxess package is due to my xbox live not working when the router is in that mode. So it's bit of a catch 22.

I played yesterday, my cap was an average of 80ms (384 line), not the best but playable. However, it was more unstable than it is on my axxess or telkom.

Played today, but didn't notice any obviously unusual lag (with Afrihost). Didn't need to check my pings.

Oh right, thanks lads. Another mate of mine living in the same areas as me plays fine on afrihost as well. I'll have to check my rig to see what's what.
