Are any of you picking up a report on your anti virus programs about Origin being malicious?

No, I downloaded it via Origin, keeps saying the exe is suspicious also was told last night it collects data on you, Origin that is.

What anti virus are you using? Use the microsoft one.

What info is it going to collect though? You always here these stories yet those same people who worry about it have a facebook account . Steam people say as well collects your precious data. Scare mongering. I would get a decent anti virus and worry less about program collecting your info.

I use Kaspersky and AVG and I know AVG has a lot of false positives.

You're not running both at the same time are you? That's asking for trouble. Get rid off all of it and use MSE, it really is excellent.

No, 2 separate machines, one running Kaspersky, the other running AVG.

AVG is the biggest piece of shyte anti virus i have ever used.

Get the microsoft one. All my cracks were reported as infected by avg, with microsoft none of them are. Since i have used microsoft it has removed any viruses with ease and never given me a false positive.

Avira gave me a similar story. The problem only arose after one of the patches though. Anyway I got rid of avira and moved to avast.

It's a known false positive, no worries ........ their eula on the other hand is a bit eye boggling.

It does collect data, IE: how many times you get shot, how long you play, whats your fav weapon and all that crap.... You know its called BF3 Stats?

That said, I would prefer an AV that lets me know everything, ie: data collection than one that stays mute about it even if its stuff I know about. Just as long as it has a option to override it should be cool.

Only report I'm picking up is that origin is load of crap. Worse is the ability with creation of a TOR account to do a hostile take over of an origin (ea) account...

well my AV doesnt think so atm but i def think Orign is malicious :} but hey what can you do!
only way to play BF3 for now!
