The Business Intelligence Projects Team is looking for an individual to join the team. If you enjoy working with users, have excellent analytical & problem solving skills, have solid data warehousing experience and can work well under pressure, then you should consider applying for this position.
Key performance areas:
• Use a BI tool to produce reports and dashboards from the Enterprise Data Warehouse for the Group
• Performing data analysis and extracts from the Enterprise Data Warehouse for the Group
• Make changes to database tables, packages and solutions
• Investigate and implement solutions to Data Warehouse problems
• Liaise with users regarding problems / requirements
• Perform Data Stewardship functions, which will include the cleaning and maintenance of the database by monitoring, removing and deleting old data, clearing data load errors, improving the quality of data by ensuring adherence to the business rules, and the evaluation of new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration
To qualify for this position, you will need:
• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• To be proficient in SQL and Server Suite (SSAS and SSRS)
• To be proficient in at least one BI / Reporting tool (Microstrategy, Business Objects, etc.)
• Sound understanding and experience in data warehousing concepts and principles
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• To be able to perform at a high level of accuracy
