Who are they?
My client, based in Century City, designs, builds and supports social web and mobile products.
What will you do?
• Participation in the strategic management of the business through ensuring a thorough organizational understanding of the key metrics and drivers of the business
• Provision of meaningful on-going and ad hoc insight into the inner workings of the business, as reflected in the data and its interpretation
• Proactive identification of weaknesses and opportunities within existing data and reporting structures, together with the implementation of appropriate solutions
• Overseeing a highly skilled and numerate team whose prime responsibility is mining the company’s many and varied sources of information for actionable business intelligence
• Ensuring the provision of high quality, appropriate and timeous on-going reports and the dissemination thereof throughout the business
• Maintaining and enhancing the company’s reporting and data warehousing strategies and systems
• Statistical and data analysis, model building and data mining
• Report consulting and the conceptualization of new reports
• Training and education around data systems, reports and analytical outputs
• Management and maintenance of key aspects of reporting and data warehouse systems
Can you apply?
• Post graduate degree in Maths/Stats
• Strong math, stats and logical skills, together with an obvious love of numbers, spreadsheets and graphs!
• Knowledge of relational databases, MS Office, VBA, data mining and stats software is highly preferable
• Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g. MS-SQL Server 2008r2), OLAP (e.g. MS-Analysis Services (SSAS)), reporting tools (e.g. MS-Reporting Services (SSRS)), data transformation (e.g. MS-Integration Services (SSIS)) and data warehouses
Are you a highly numerate person who has a solid technical base but also possess an appreciation for numbers and understand the value that can be derived from interrogating them?
Are you a data warehouse ‘geek’ who is proud to design and implement a dimensional model and present the findings that can be derived from the data it contains?
