Big headache for Ramaphosa

Did you even bother to spend a minute or two reading it?
As outlined in our three-part Dead Matter series published in March 2021, the R1-billion civil claim
JOHANNESBURG - Conservationist Fred Daniel's R1 billion civil case against the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and 24 government entities

Did you even bother to spend a minute or two reading it?

Clearly nothing to do with Mabuza being charged of anything and hence nothing to do with the ANC's resolution of stepping aside.
So you clearly think that even though the Deputy President of SA is heavily involved in a massive civil case is not sufficient reason for for him to step aside? What an absolute low bar the ANC and their supporters have set for themselves! And then they wonder why everything's FUBAR.

ANC hasn't made resolution about civil case though.

The guidelines were presented in the next ordinary NEC meeting in February. They are:

  1. Stepping aside following indictment on criminal charges;
  2. Temporary suspension following indictment on criminal charges;
  3. Temporary suspension pending ANC disciplinary processes following indictment on criminal charges;
  4. Dealing with allegations of corruption or serious crime.

The ANC have very clearly avoided the civil aspect, because then it would be as easy as piss to get the entire ANC thrown the fsck out of the ANC by just implementing civil cases against all of them.

But you do realize you are making a very poor argument here, right? Because it would be very tragic if you don't.

And it would be very foolish, that's why there is no party which cares to involve themselves in their members civil litigation matters, so I don't know what our guy is comparing the ANC with when he talks about low bars.

No I'm sticking it out here, campaigning for government to use free and open source software.
There's a cadre problem with that: tenderpreneurs like their kickbacks from companies like EOH that sell software licences.

Just on this specific case, there are more than just a few hints that there should be criminal charges to go with it, but I suppose that will be up to the NPA once the civil case is all dealt with, or if there is sufficient evidence during the civil case to warrant criminal charges being instituted.

The guy is making serious allegations but it's a mystery why he hasn't opened a criminal case against Mabuza, unless I missed it somewhere? I have very little respect for people who peddle stories and don't follow up with formal processes.

My guess is that he knows he has a better chance in the civil suit than trying to follow the criminal avenue given Mabuza's position... Also there might be a misjudgement from the the ANC/Mabuza that the civil case can be ignored or brushed under the carpet, and we'll see a raft load of damning evidence being entered into the court record which Mabuza then can't dodge anymore and the NPA could see its hand being forced in that regard.

Also, maybe he is just after the money, but the civil case will largely out this sort of thing.

This just goes to show the divide among other SA parties. The Zondo report is a watershed moment for SA politics, and clearly show that the anc is nothing but a "legal" criminal enterprise. Surely somewhere there must be a law that will enable these political parties to approach the courts and have the anc declared an illegal organization based on the amount of crimes committed by them over the past 28 years. I mean they literally just took over and the first reports of crimes came flooding in. All the talk of their so-called struggle, and nobody ever mentions that it was not a struggle for freedom, but a struggle to get rich at the expense of other, and worst part are those uneducated morons who keep them in power.

The RET crowd so be careful here what they wish for. He could really clean house.

Just to bad he is completely spineless, but they should keep on pushing.

No, he can't clean the house, the members of the ANC did not give him a resounding majority, he must work with what he has. There is a question of being spineless and there is a question of being true to your challenges and the fact of the matter is that he does not have the majority support to clean the house.

If he was like Zuma he could probably find ways, underhand and illegal ways to deal with the dissenters and sway things in his favour, but he is clearly not that way inclined so that's it, all he can do is try make things uncomfortable for the RETs when it comes to the public purse because that's what they need to pursue their goals.

Exactly why it's an uphill battle, and more so, with so many good internal IT people having left. Free software was quite a big thing back in 2005 to 2008 or so, where it had Ministerial support as well as internal IT actually using and supporting it. Yes sadly today there is this big drive to want to pay monthly for services we got for free a decade or so ago... We obviously have more money available now...

Squirrel is just the current ringleader of the ANC crime syndicate.
He was the underboss for a decade and probably the brains behind the operation at the time...now he is in charge and nothing is changing...imagine my shock!

Pfft, uBaba would have never allowed that WMC puppet to be the brains of anything, remember how he resigned in a huff from the Eskom task team when it dawned on him that he wasn't in charge of government business?
