They should raise it by 70bajillion basis points and just get it over with.

Hopefully Tymebank finally comes to the table.
They've got no reason to. They're still pretty much the best rate for on-demand saving. We'll never see that big gap between them and the next best product again - I suspect it was just a once-off to lure customers.

1000 basis points at a minimum or else they are wasting their time and inflation will just keep skyrocketing.

But aren't we already the most expensive country on earth?

Must be nice to have your currency as the reserve currency. Print money, push inflation up and everyone buys dollars to bolster it's strength...

OMFS...luckily it's just a smallish home loan we have. No CCs, no car loans, school fully paid off and no accounts of any kind.
But jeez...does the Government read the news? Have they seen what's happening???

Yes, and everyone, even the poor are still surviving. Prices still have a lot of room to increase all around without affecting any single citizen. But, why hurry the process with inflation?

They don't have a choice. If the US is pushing up their rates, why would anyone choose our currency over theirs unless we offer a better return. If they don't, the rand will weaken more and push up inflation even more...

The US is 21 Sept! (Due date to review)
