Big Launcher

Anyone (or their parents/grandparents) using Big Launcher? http://biglauncher.com/

My FIL needs a "new" phone to replace his old Nokia. He can't read the small screens anymore and would never handle an unmodified Android phone. I have an old Lenovo A660 that handles the launcher just fine and is "waterproof" and still has a good battery (2 days with single SIM). He only calls (send and receive) and receives sms's (banking activity on his account). No instant messaging, no data, no banking app.

Is it worth the R100?

I wish these guys that make these launchers would remember that old people don't do well with pastel colours and light contrasts. White on blue is almost invisible to an old person. Sharp black on white is far better and single bright colour of icons. I'll check the others out and see if it is possible to change the colour schemes.
