Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) Commissioner Teboho Maruping has explained that technical issues have caused COVID-19 Temporary Employer/Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) relief fund applications for June 2020 to remain closed.

Submitted 6 identical applications last night, one for each month, got 6 sms notifications today from my bank for 6 payments received!

So I checked on the 30th and the banner stated
"Covid-19 TERS Applications For May 2020 is Open."

On the 1st for a very short period in the morning, the banner stated
"Covid-19 TERS Applications For June 2020 is Open."

I was able to do the application but it failed when at the final step and timed out. When I refreshed and logged in again, the banner changed back to May and the option to submit for June was no longer there.
