I've had endless troubles with a GPU replacement dating back almost a year and a half now.
I originally bought GTX550TI from Matrix Walmer in 2011 which died.
I returned the GPU to the Walmer Branch and waited for a replacement.
Unfortunately the Walmer branch were nothing short of useless and made me wait 2 months for a replacement card despite Rectron supplying a replacement in the first week that never got collected.
2 months down the line and for some unknown reason Matrix Walmer is not answering their phones, pop into the store and they've shut their doors/closed.
I panicked a bit but noticed a sign directing me to Matrix Lorraine for assistance.
Here is where the story began to take a positive turn with the introduction of Harry.
I'm not sure if Harry is the Manager or owner but he has such a great attitude to customer service.
I walked in, explain the situation and he immediately got on the phone to Rectron in front of me, something the Walmer branch never did.
Rectron informed him that a new card was ready to be collected.
Later that day I collected a 'new' GTX 660 OC 2gb, so it was a replacement but more importantly an upgraded card
However Rectron tried to pull a quick one and replaced the card with a 2nd hand card which could be seen by a small burn mark and board wear.
Matrix promptly returned the card to Rectron who in turn replaced it with a sealed boxed GPU.
Yay, I now had a card that worked..... for 3 months and then my Motherboard died which seemed to take the card with it
From highs to lows.
I again returned the card to Matrix and began the 4 month process of Rectron testing, Matrix testing and me testing with totally differing results.
Essentially Rectron said the card works but Matrix & I said it was dead.
This brings us to 11/04/14 when I again returned the card after just leaving it due to frustration.
I mentioned to Harry that he needs to verify Rectron's test because I can't trust their word due to my history of problems.
Harry called me on the Tuesday to tell me he has been able to get Rectron to again replace my card with a new sealed GPU.
Which thankfully works.
I doubt Harry will see this but either way, he is champ and really has gone the extra mile for me.
Thanks
