Office 2013's "white" UI literally gave me headaches so bad I had to revert back to 2010. I am not alone - my accountant started getting migraines when working for extended periods in Excel 2013. Even the "dark grey" is way too bright. The lack of options when installing 2013 is also a pain.

Exactly. "More or less manageable" is a huge step down from "Works perfectly fine and efficiently" as in Windows 7.

Be glad if you never had to endure Windows ME. It made Vista look brilliant, stable and fast.

No-one 'worked' with ME.....

We installed it, swore at it for 2 days and uninstalled it.

On the other hand, I had a client with ME - never had any issues with it...

but I didn't liked ME. Preferred 98.

Please read more carefully. Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot wasn't the mistake. Using it as the login sequence was.

I think the second biggest mistake they made was assuming their users could read

Just in case, make sure your monitor refresh rate is at its highest. Lower than 60 with white screen will cause flickers and result in headaches.
I use 2013 and really like it, no probs.
