Will probably take them another 10 years to wake up and do it. Just like it's taken them ages to make Edge Chromium.

That's a bit harsh. Edge Chromium has had a lightning fast development. I was amazed how quickly a dev build was publicly released. And it's rock solid and suitable for daily use.

for a company that stole Xerox ideas for a O/S they sure take ages to jump immediately onto a great idea and copy the hell out of it.

maybe as they've made their billions, they feel they can sit back and relax.
or just that now being a huge company, its harder for them to change direction and move with the times.

They're one of the world's most valuable companies, Azure is crazy good, Office 365 is amongst the best value things you can subscribe to, as is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Windows 10 is decent and the Office apps are slick and modern.

I am a much, much bigger fan of Microsoft than I am of Google.
