Billion 5102S Firmware Upgrade

Hello

Decided to be clever today and upgrade the firmware on my Billion 5102S, and now have lots all connectivity [Should have listened to the proverb, if it ain't broke then don't fix it!]

The version I downloaded was from the Billion website:

2.7.0.38(UE0.B1C)3.5.18.0

Is this the right version for South Africa? Couldn't find anything on the Billion SA website.

I am fairly IT literate, updated firmware correctly, hard reset the modem. Can access all the menus in the modem from laptop. Did the Quick Start, entered my ISP info (tried both MWEB and Afrihost) no joy. Modem syncs fine, and pulls an IP address etc.

Not sure whats going on?

Any ideas appreciated!

specify DNS of afrihost dns server into your nic ?

Thanks for the advice. However, it seems that I couldn't get the modem to work connected directly via ethernet to the laptop, but when connected to my Linksys WRT54g wireless router works fine again (this is the normal set up I have), so problem solved.
