billion 8800 nxl-----dont authenticate

i am totally frustrated......last 72 hours-no internet via my adsl!

i purchaed a billion 8800nxl---


modems sync at 34megs!

it doesnt allow me to authenticate.

i changed the settings: to 1 and 835------set on ptm....

it still doesnt allow me 2 connect...

what else could be the problem????

VPI should be 8, VCI 35. No 835.
