Hi, please move to appropriate forum if this is wrong..

I have the abovementioned VDSL modem. I have accounts with AH and VOX. I've set up both in the WAN setup. My problem is that the modem continually connects to BOTH providers. SO now I don't know which ISP I'm using at any point.

Does anyone know how to set it up so that one provider is used as default and then I can enable the other if required?

Yep.

1. Tip: When setting up the connections, create them in order of priority. The one you want to connect to up top.
This isn't absolutely necessary but is suggested so the connections are number from highest to lowest priority. The billion labels connections "ppp 1.1", "ppp 2.2" etc. It makes 2 and 3 easy to setup. :)​
2. Click "Advanced Setup". You'll be presented with the "Default Gateway" page.
Order the connections as you need here.​
3. Click "Advanced Setup", "DNS". Make sure the interfaces are ordered correctly (in the left window).

Okay to check if it's working as designed...
4. Click "Status", "Statistics", "WAN Service" and you'll see which connection is active
(data figures will be going up) and which are passive (data figures will be low and (fairly) static)​

In terms of switching providers...
5. Click "Status", "WAN" and Connect / Disconnect there.

Finally...
6. If you execute step 5 and things don't work, then it's likely that the Gateway (step 2) or
DNS (step 3) needs some attention.

Hope that sorts you out.
 
Hi guys

Sorry to hijack this thread as I don't want to start a new one since I have the same router.

My line ISP is Ah at 20Mbps VDSL and my data is with Openweb.

I haven't had any issues with this router until recently.
My WiFi starting to give me issues, on all devices (usually android) the WiFi icon gets an "!" Exclamation mark to show that there is a problem with connection. Upon checking the PC I realized my WiFi is somewhat not connecting.

Therefore I did a restart of the router and sometimes it works and able to connect again.

Things seems to be different this time, last night I restarted the router, and was not able to connect to the internet despite all the steps I do. I have restarted the router, reset to default settings, I contacted AH to see if there is an issue with the line and I also contacted OW if there is a problem on their side, both say no problem at all, line is syncing and all stats are good.

I tried changing account in "configuration" in the PTM interface to AH account and Ow account, no connection, all it does is the router status keeps showing its busy "connecting"

I have checked my xDsl stats, its running at PTM and VDSL2.

After hours trying to figure out the problem it miraculously connected! I was online.....but not for long, the connection dropped after a few hours. Now I don't have internet.

Really need help if possible, I think it could be the routers problem being faulty. I don't have other VDSL2 routers for testing, I tried connecting to my old ADSL2+ router, it won't connect due to the mode and traffic type are VDSL and PTM.

Just Fyi, My 802.1P Priority is set to 0, and 802.1Q VLAN ID is set to 835. Other parameters stays default.

Follow up, this is what my router log shows....

Why is it trying to keep increasing the MTU to 1500 when the router can't exceed 1492?

Hi

I got basically same thing as yours, the whole of the morning from 00:00 to 05:35 I couldnt connect, so I gave up and when to sleep, 2 hours later it says my connection is up and running for 2 hours already...like wtf~
 
Dropped again around 18:30. My Mweb connection came back just after midnight, but my AH connection only started working at 6:40 this morning. Have no idea what's goiing on here ......
 
Mine is down since 6am, Monte Vista, Cape Town. Afrihost as ISP, wonder if Telkom is aware of it?
