Axess uncapped is the same as afrihost uncapped. There's enough threads to validate why it 'could' be the ISP. Just food for thought, not saying I'm right though!

If you can actually contribute to the thread someone might take you seriously.

Okay taking the isp part aside, how many times did you take those tests. There's so much issues with bb atm in SA that line upstream can vary at anytime of the day, perhaps try tedting each router at a diff time of the day and with a diff isp for accurate comparitives.

Where the differeces in readings from the routers your reasoning that the Billion routers were/are faulty? Chances are the Billion routers are giving you a more accurate reading than the Marconi, but it is also possible that you have a slightly unstable line. Factors could include interference from appliances, poor connections, cable rot, moisture, etc which are not limited to the last mile, but also beyond the point of termination on your premises.

I would investigate further before returning the device.

Yes, often when my line syncs the SNR Margin and Attenuation changes, it could even be the fact that they might be doing some work on the line further up. Take it to Telkom Direct to be tested though, just to be sure. Not sure whether they do it for free still.

guys what are the chances that the billion 800 router is not compatible with an older exchange?
