Ive heard from a Telkom employee that for the past 3 months, Telkom has started rolling out Siemens routers, is this true? Can anyone confirm this?

Never believe a telkom employee - they keep telling us 384k dsl's are being phased out too!

Telkom have rolled out many router brands AFAIK.

Seen them too. That's new.
They definitely do offer the Siemens router as that is the one that I got about 5 months ago when I signed up for a self-install.
But they do have other brands so I am not sure whether it just depends on what they have in stock or whether they are moving to Siemens exclusively. The one thing that I don't like about it is that they have crippled the firmware in some respects and you can't update with the latest firmware from Siemens because they have removed the option to update the firmware from the menu sytem.
