So I'm in the process of getting ADSL and I need to get a router.
One which seems to be decently priced and offer everything I want (except Wireless N) is the Billion 7401VGPX.
Decent? Stay away?

Please advise and provide alternatives.

Basically I want something with built in ADSL modem, 3G failover (will work with Cell C Whoosh usb modem), SNMP and it would be nice if it also supported Wireless N

Absolute Budget Max is R1500

You can get the TP-Link MR3420 3G Wireless N Router @ R499 (excl VAT) / R568.86 (incl VAT, but excl shipping) + D-Link DSL-2500U @ R212 (incl VAT, but excl shipping) if you want something with 3G failover.

Both routers are supposed to support SNMP.

You can find the list of compatible 3G devices for the TP-Link here: http://www.tp-link.com/common/subject/3g_router/compatible/list/

I don't really have any experience with the Billion routers. I think the only advantages of the Billion is that it has VOIP support and that everything is included in 1 unit.

I prefer to have a standalone ADSL modem, because when it gets damaged, then it's just a cheap unit to replace ;)
