I have a Billion 7300G wireless router, with DSL 384. Both my laptop and my desktop have the same issue, and that is uploading. My e-mails seem to go up quick, but when I try the Iburst or Sentech upload speed tests, nothing happens. No upload takes place. My torrents also can't seem to be able to go past the 4k mark, screwing up my ratio properly. The f/w in the router is all on default setting, the QoS is 100% wan to lan and lan to wan, what could be wrong? Tried my IS and SAIX accounts, both the same. D/l is fine, torrents and all else going at 38-42k.

Firstly, go to http://software.ccschmidt.de/inftraf_detail.html and get and install his free "Interface Traffic Indicator". Then login into your 7300G, and go "Configuration|Advanced|Device Management" and enable "SNMP Access Control". Press "Apply" and "Save Config to FLASH". In the "Interface Traffic Indicator" set the IP Addess to 192.168.1.254, and press "First contact". Then select "Interface Number" as 9, and you will see a graph of your actual down and up data rate on the WAN (ADSL) interface. Test your upload speed by emailing yourself a largish file. While you are logged onto your 7300G, go "Configuration|WAN|ADSL" to see what speed the ADSL line is actually syncing at - this should be at least 384/128 for the DSL384 service. On the same page, you can see the line attenuation and noise margin figures.

DMT Status Up
Operational Mode ADSL G.Dmt
Upstream 128 kbps
Downstream 384 kbps
Noise Margin (Upstream) 22.0 db
Noise Margin (Downstream) 43.5 db
Attenuation (Upstream) 20.5 db
Attenuation (Downstream) 39.5 db

Do those look ok? I will D/l that proggy and will let you know, capped on IS :(

Ok, I installed the prog, input the IP, press 1st contact, waits a while and then it gives me a german error message, then hangs. I am on wifi, can't go ethernet, the router is in the other room.

Your line parameters are pretty good - you shouldn't have physical communications issues. Did you enable "SNMP Access Control" (radio buttons) in the 7300G? I haven't tried it over the wireless connection, but can't imagine why it wouldn't work.

Ok, tested upload with everest, it gives an average of 8-9k/sec, that seems pathetic no? Yes I enabled snmp, it worked once, but stopped polling after the 1st result, saying no poll response.
