I have a billion BiPAC 7300W router and continually get "link down" It is sporadic but seems to be getting worse and also is much worse in the evenings. Dropping connection every 5 minutes as im typing for periods of roughly 1 minute. Im wirelessely connected and signal strength is "excellent" Please help me.

I have just upgraded firmware to v2.04b-7m and no dice.

What are your signal to noise ratios and your line attenuation?
Do you have other devices connected to the adsl line? (alarms, phones etc)
Do you have micro filters installed? They sometimes go bad.

How do i find snr and line attenuation?
There is computer connected to router through cable upstairs and a phone and a printer/fax.
A micro filter? I think they connected one for the printer if im not mistaken.

sorry got it...

Crashed again...

Your attenuation is too high, thus you need to reduce your sync speed maby to 6 or 8 megabits. I have the same router and the link down just means its lost its sync

6.1 snr is borderline too. Agree with dropping one speed tier.

Thats bullcrap! They gladly take my money for said 10 Meg line and now i need to lower my speed for the same price because their hardware is not up to the job O.o

I phoned tekkie and asked him to drop line speed from 10M to 8M but it seems to be 6M+ now??
No more "Link Down" anymore though
SNR Margin Upstream went from 6dB to 12 dB which is good right?

Synced at 8mb and that snr is much better. Should be cool now :)
