Hi Guys
I got a ADSL router from Telkom a few years back, a Billion 800 VGT. I have setup a dyndns address so that I can RDP my box from anywhere and that works well.
My issue is, when ever my router restarts due to power outage, my DMZ host resets itself and I have to manually go into the settings and select my desktop IP form the list of candidates so I can remote my machine.
I have been doing this non-stop for some time now, but its driving me insane. How can I get this dam thing to save the IP address? Saving the config does not save the IP. I have tried using a static IP on my Desktop but no luck….
Any ideas ??
