billion router problem

i have a strange issue with my mom in law's billion 400g router. It started this afternoon, it 'forgets' the adsl username and password. Then i save it again, and after 5 minutes it goes back to telkom guest account. What can be wrong? And its as if sometimes the pc struggles to comunicate with the router, then again its working. Ive restarted and reset it a million times already.

I'm having a similar problem with my Billion 7300G-RA. Every time there is a power failure, or the router is reset/restarted, it goes back to my old Mweb account details. highly annoying. The Billion rep sent me the latest firmware, which doesn't seem to help. Seems like the flash is a bit volatile with Billions.

You are saving to flash once you make the changes right?

yes, the quick setup guide save it, and i do it again too.

I've seen this problem before with a billion router, seems you might have to replace it

Can you see if it is rebooting itself when you lose all the changes?

Do you power cycle the router after making changes? If not, do so.

yes i power cycle it, and no it does not reboot when it looses the settings.

Okay, after a day that I tried every thing possible, it's still the same. The Billion guy also helped me, there was already the latest firmware on it, and I reloaded it.
Now what's strange, my in law have the same billion router that a telkom guy gave her the previous time she had a problem with a previous router. I also tried the same with that router, and its the same with him. And I also tried it with my laptop, and its also the same.

So its the same story with 2 routers and 2 pc's. Very very strange.
