Hi guys,

I have my router in half bridge mode. Meaning my router has stored my username and password, and I can also have a pppoe connection that i connect. How do i make it so that its just a pppoe connection that I can dial up and not having the router store my account details? I have a Billion 7300.

Tx

I've got the same router:

Enter the router and click on:
ipwan below the Status screen which says WAN, then you click Change.

Or just click on this link :
http://192.168.1.254/wan_create_service.asp

Choose RFC 1483 Bridged> Next and apply.

Then you just use a dialup connection to connect ;)

This will void Half Bridge or PPPoE relay however.

That's if you can deal with the SUPER DUPER slow web interface on the 7300A :(

Hi Teraside,

I did what you suggested, and it is working great. One thing, there seems to be a prob with my lan connection. Its saying that its status has limited or no connectivity, is this normal? I've tried renewing the IP but that doesn't work. Is this the sacrifice for having a bridge connection?

Tx

Which version of Windows do you use? You could try click on it if it's Windows Vista and click on the red X it shows to repair the connection, in Xp, I think you right click and choose repair connection.

Also try disabling the Network card from network connections and enable it after a second or two.

It shouldn't say you have limited connectivity because of bridging. Try restarting the pc as well.

Ok its sorted. I just manually typed in the LAN's Ip, and it fixed it. For some reason it was having problems allocating an automatic IP or something. So its working. Sweet! :)
