Hi,

Would appreciate your thoughts on this. I've got a Billion Wireless-G router connected to my computer and would like to help my sister get her computer connected to it. We live in a townhouse and my computer is downstairs in the lounge and her computer is basically directly above it in an upstairs room. The distance from my computer/router to her computer is something like 5 meters-ish and there's obviously the concrete ceiling in between. If I get her a wireless-g rated card or wireless-g rated USB adapter, would my Billion Wireless-G be able to make this happen?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Should work perfectly.

I currently have a Billion 7300GRA set up in my living room. I access it with my Laptop through the whole house.

And I also made the connection available to my neighbor. It connects through 2 double-brick walls and his computer room is about 15m away from the router.
He connects with excellent signal.

Hi, APoc84. Sounds good. Thanks for your thoughts.

Seeing you mention your model there, I'm thinking I should have maybe mentioned that the model is a Billion 400G Wireless-G. Will that make a difference? Don't know much about Billions, but your G model seems like a more powerful version, so I'm just wondering if model makes a difference for what you're doing and what I'm trying to do.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure it should not be a problem.

The 400G has a 100m line of sight range, the same as my 7300GRA. And even if the ceiling/floor does decrease the signal I doubt it will be to such an extent that she would notice it.

The furthest I have used mine is about 50 meters. We were sitting outside at the pool. The signal still had to go through a double brick. Still showed excellent on my connection.

And that sounds really good. I should be hundreds. Thanks again.
