Good evening,

Does anyone know how to convert a bin file into an application for a router firmware update? Thank you
 
Google the model number of the router, and then go to their support page.
Follow the instructions on their support page for updating the router.
 
I have a few firmware bin files that are custom and Huawei does not provide firmware updates on their website, so do I extract the bin file or how do I install the bin file?
 
Go to the router webpage, settings/configuration and point to the bin file.

The wrong bin file can brick the router.
 
Ok you mean under update, i attach the file as a local update?

Will it also work if I am changing to a complete different version of firmware, meaning it's not an upgrade but another version of firmware
 
Ok, so I got it right but there is a firmware update on this, it downloads 100% but fails to install, could it be a storage issue on the router

Thank you, I am not very technical so please excuse my ignorance, it's a learning process for me, I get this error
