Hey guys,

Have any of you had experiences with Biokineticists? My cardiologist says I should go to one (Heart problems etc etc), and by all means I plan on contacting his referral.

I was just wondering how you found it? I'm coming from a bodybuilding background in terms of fitness, and I don't want the wrong expectations. (I know it's more about rehabilitation, but maybe it's still enjoyable, seeing as it's been 1 year since iv'e done any physical exercise)

Pretty good in my experience. Sorta like a personal trainer except with a bit more sound medical background.

So it's not just a bunch of broscience and fancy buzzwords?
lol not quite sure what info you're looking for. They give you exercises to do. Thats it. In this case exercises that strength your heart without endangering you.

I found it helpful.

They really do work. I had a serious slipped disc in my lower back. Before surgery the specialist recommend I try biokinetics to strengthen my core. A few sessions and regular core exercises and did not need surgery and have virtually no pain now.

My partner goes three times a week to the local one here.... raves about it, conditions him for his mountain bike racing...... now his father, mother and sister all go.....
