BIOS doesn’t see boot Drive but Ubuntu USB Does

Hey Guys

Have this weird issue that happened while dual booting Ubuntu and Windows I’ve done this before without error but this time the Windows boot Drive disappeared from the BIOS

The drive is working and is a fairly new SSD booting up an Ubuntu boot usb shows the C: Drive with all the files still intact

I have no backups so I’d like to get the files or somehow get back into windows

Anyone has some suggestions on what can we be done

UEFI vs legacy boot issues?
Before I upgraded to Win10, my Ubuntu installation did the same thing to my Windows partition. To boot Windows I had to manually go into the BIOS and select the drive with legacy boot

This used to happen to me randomly, and still sometimes does. The drive would disappear from the BIOS

My windows and Linux are on two separate NVME drives.

If it happens, I usually just shut down the pc completely and start it back. In the beginning, when it was significantly worse, reseating the windows nvme would “fix” it.

This is on Ryzen 5000 series with X570

It’s a Lenovo Y530 running a i7 8750H just for more info

Tried booting using a windows 10 usb drive and start up repair couldn’t fix the error

It seems like a boot file or partition got deleted or corrupted hence all the files still there

Not sure what else to do

Forgot about the partition I created for Ubuntu so reinstalled windows to that move my files to external and I’ll have to reinstall windows tried everything from fixing the mbr using disk part
