Bioshock installation question

A Bioshock installation question for those that have installed it already.

I recently moved and don't have ADSL installed at my new residence yet. But, I have pre-ordered Bioshock and will (gaming gods willing) pick it up on thursday. Only thing is that you have to have an internet connection to install the game.

Now I can connect to the internet with my cell phone but I don't know what the installation entails.

Do you download anything? If so what size download? Or is it just a validation of you CD key? Do you install the game first completely and then "unlock" it on the interenet? Will I be able to do this on my cellphone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought mine via Steam, but from what I've read, it's just an activation.

I can't say what was done or how big the files are that were downloaded (as the installer doesnt give this info) but I can tell you that the online part of it didn't happen quickly - and this is on a 4mb DSL connection.

I expect you may be in for some suffering.

App it was something like 15 megs or was it 50 megs...im not too sure...will find out and post later

15MB!!!! Hmmmmmmm, so how much will i love this game?

Just so that i get this right, you install the game and AFTERWARDS connect to the internet to "unlock" it, right?

Well it downloads the bisohock.exe file and some other directx dll files. Thats all that I could see.

So i should connect to the internet first then start the installation?
