I get the following message when I put the Bioshock disc into my Xbox360:

"To play this disc, put it in an Xbox360 console"

Now isn't that a classic error . It looks like the console thinks it's a DVD movie. I eject the disc and put it back again, then it might work and start the game, but this is happening more and more now.

Anybody got this problem as well?

This seems to be an Xbox360 problem. Not sure yet, still trying to find something on the internet. But I notice that other people are having the same problem but with different games.

Normally that means a dirty disc... check your box isn't scratching the disc...

I don't have any scratches (I really look after my discs), I did however found a big finger smudge near the end of the disc. Cleaned it and I've tested the disc three times and each time it worked.

I hope that was the problem.

It's not that you don't look after the discs, some consoles are faulty and scratch discs...

Hopefully though the smudge is the problem

You should have not drooled over the disc when it arrived. Tsk tsk tsk. :p

I've had this problem a twice before with different games. I just keep retrying and it eventually works. The Xbox 360 has a terrible dvd-drive.

It depends what models. It seems the Elite & newer Post-October X360s will have the BenQ drives which are the best ones thus far.

Well the disc is still doing it. Ah well, just have to keep trying until the game works.
