I got myself one of the TForce 6100-AM2 motherboards and a A64 X2 3800+. I overclocked it to 2,5GHz from 2GHz without any trouble, just upped the voltage from 1.2V to 1.225V.

Should I push it further? What is the highest safest voltage?

Great cheap little motherboard...

Yes if you can run pcmark etc. without the pc rebooting you can push it up further.

I just encoded two movies from vob to avi, is that a good test? I will only do 3dmark 2001 because its only got a 6200le in lol.

On the encoding of the movies, both movies took me less than 2 hours each, where my single core 2.6 3200+ (also on a biostar) had taken me between 3 and 4 hours...

If it didn't restart you can over clock it even more, just keep an eye on the temps

Most of the time its running at 1.25GHz due to CoolnQuiet being enabled and then it runs at 25 degrees, when I was running PCmark 4 this morning it went up to 39. I'll go for 2.6 this evening...

What is cool about this setup is that my 3 year old Gigabyte cooler still works on here with the AM2 and that the whole setup cost me less than R2000
