BIS Activation

How long does it take to activate BIS. Filled in forms at MTN on Monday and was told that it would take 24 hrs to activate. I phoned 808 today and was told that they have not received my forms yet. WTF

Dont know with MTN...but with us we activate it straight on our system and then your phone will normally be able to utilize the service within 10 - 30 minutes.

i got vodacom activated when i turned on my torch waited 10mins and working

guys it can take anything from 1 minute to 24hrs from activation depending on the network, try your best to go to a service centre when you want services loaded, gets done straight away

Well as they never received your papers they wont do anything, so it will take up to 24 hours from whenever the idiot who took your forms in sends them to head office. Too bad your with MTN, vodacom lets you activate such things over the phone, or even online @ vodacom.co.za.

When i activated BIS through MTN,it took about 48 hrs or so.

Well after 72 hrs I managed to get BIS activated. MTN blames the Blackberry server that was down. Easy way to pass the buck

That's interesting considering if the BB server went down the whole world would be affected not just you...

Hmm got my Bold on Friday and MTN still has not activated BIS.

Me 2,waiting since friday for BIS to be activated with MTN..They realy SUCK!!
