BIS completely dead - anyone else?

I've not noticed any hit to my airtime balance at all.

Their blackberry's are down - do you really expect them to pay normal data rates just to keep us informed! :eek: :p

Over the past two days over this supposed BIS downtime, iv honestly not noticed anything , FB works ,browser is flying and bbms get sent altho no replys , I'm in my own little BB version of I Am Legend :)

BBMS are still being sent but they are not being delivered.
Check for a "D" next to the "check mark" to see whether it has been delivered or not.

I had similar yesterday.
Received delayed emails and was able to browse internet...today NOTHING!

About 50% of people in Europe, Africa and Middle East are affected. My sister was down on the first day but my mom's phone was working fine.
 
Emails seem to come though when they feel like it, my browsing is dead, facebook and twitter update on the odd occasion
 
Update Canada / Mexico / US and more are now starting to report slow / delayed BBM messages.
 
Emails still horribly delayed and many of them just missing completely.

Cannot even download a 40kb jpeg from an email tried about 40 times in the last hour ... Nada.

BBM's being sent but not being delivered.

Browsing slow as ever.

For the first time ever Vodacom actually communicated in this regard with this sms "Dear customer, RIM (BlackBerry) have informed us that a 'core switch failure' has been fixed and they are working to restore normal service. Service delays are still likely."

Dear customer, our current view is that BlackBerry services could remain impaired for the remainder of today. We apologise on behalf of RIM for this.
 
I cannot even Whatsapp so I'm reduced entirely to SMS messages, feels like I've returned to the days of the caveman.
 
It appears all my emails finally arrived during the night and BBM is working again, hopefully BIS is finally back on track.

Same here in Durban, with Vodacom. Getting really irritating now.
