BIS Not Connected

Hi,

I have a friend who has just bought a BB. She has BIS enabled and I am guessing it IS actually done by Cell C as the 3G / EDGE is in Caps and the 3G has the BB Logo next to it. Now, however, if you go to service status it says "Blackberry Internet Service" - "Not Connected" - Mine says "Mobile Network".

What could the problem be?

Service books been sent to phone?
 
Mine took almost a full 3 days to get activated and my son's friend also had to wait 3 days before the network activated the BIS. Maybe that is it...
 
Also, I had to change the APN to blackberry.net before BIS actually started working. Got it from a forum somewhere at that time.
 
Thanks - will check with my friend tomorrow and advise if still not resolved
 
I did 2 phones last week.
Cell C took 5 mins & VC took close to 24hrs.
Havent done MTN so cant comment on there setup speed.
