My question: Will it work if I take out the BIS from MTN and simply enter the right settings into my Android?

Right now, I don't see a reason why not. Android supports Push email. And the internet setting can be entered into the phone as well. So theoretically for R69 one should be able to get BIS internet + email on the android or other push email enabled device.

Does anyone have experience with this?

BIS does work with some phones (Blackberry Connect devices) but afaik they do not include Android devices.

Not even the unlimited internet? I really can't imagine that, if you enter the BIS internet settings for the browser surely at least that should work?

That's the thread where I got the idea from . Is there no one on here who has both a BB and an Android and can test this?

It won't work because the blackberry connection uses a lot of security to make sure that you are browsing the internet on a blackberry device. Even the other devices (eg nokia) that uses blackberry connect doesn't support the unlimited internet, it only supports push email.

tried to get it to work, it just doesnt :/ unless someone can find some way, ill try it.

AFAIK the apn for BB works through the phones pin code...

The pin links to the apn and all data is pushed through the pin onto the device...
I could be wrong though.
