BIS on Blackberry

How can I check if my BIS has been activated without having to call MTN?

Can I check it on my phone as well or do I need to get passwords and stuff from MTN?

Oh ok. Phoned this afternoon about 14:00 to get it activated. Hopefully it will be up and running tomorrow.

They said between 2 and 24 hours. It's only been 5 hours now.

Menu > Manage Connections > Service Status > Black Internet Service, should say Connection: Mobile Network. If it says Connection: not connected, then it hasn't been activated yet.
Plus once the BIS has been activated you should be able to access features such as your BlackBerry Maps, Weather, Stocks etc. (At least in my case those icons only became available in the menu after activation.)

Cool. Just switched off my device and one again then it was activated. They should've told me that then I would've switched it off earlier.

So now I guess I can just set up my e-mail adress.
