Is anyone noticing a general BIS slowdown at certain times on MTN (3G only) for example right now (from 19h00 to 21h00 I'm getting an average download speed of 28kbps on my browser rather than the normal 140kbps). I've noticed the same on Sunday afternoon. Is it just me?

Seems like these MTN guys have throttled BIS, I'm getting average 12-14 KB/s download on 3G right now, normally it's 100+ KB/s.

I've been getting poor speeds on Vodacom with BIS too. Takes anything up to 30 seconds to load a simple 100KB page....

18h38... just downloaded a 7mb file at average 100KB/s speed, going out now, will do another test with same file sometime later....

I am a BES and a BIS vodacom user.Speeds are slow this evenings. This might be RIM fault not our networks.

Or maybe all the the World cup fans from all over the world are clogging the BB servers for SA.

Downloaded the same 7mb file about half hour ago, average speed was about 8KB/s, so yeah, seems like a definite and substantial decrease in speeds during these hours...question is, is the service overloaded or MTN throttled the service? Looks like we'll have to monitor the situation....I have my opinion!

I have also noticed much slower speeds lately on MTN as well as intermittant drops for a few mins... maybe its all the new 8520 owners killing the network?

I'm on Vodacom nd have been experiencing the same thing. I think its Rim.
