BIS unstable since friday

My wife and I have both been experiencing downtime whereby our BB's get kicked off BIS when in 3G mode. We then need to switch to 2G for a while were we get BIS EDGE and then later switch back to 3G. But this happens over and over and when we do have BIS on 2g or 3g, emails are taking hours to reach the device.

I have logged a call with Vodacom but nothing has come of it yet.

Anyone else having issues? We are in EL.
 
The irony (in a good way) is that I was sitting in an Autopage outlet, ordering my S3 upgrade phone when I noticed my BB Torch had dropped off BIS.

It will be a big good riddance when I swap over next week.....

Enjoy the account that you will be getting next month for data usage. My colleague just dumped her 3 month old S3 to go back to her Bold 9900 - she didn't factor in all the e-mails she was getting for "free" with BIS and didn't realise how much data she was actually using.

WIFI at home, WIFI at work.... 500mb bundle for inbetween.

Problem solved! At least it will always work.... BIS is a dead duck!
 
the issue is that they throttled speeds and stuff so no one really DLs anymore so why are they having issues

anyonre know if cell c is stable ?
 
are you sure it's Vodacom? i'm on MTN and BIS hasn't worked properly since a month or 2 back when BB had that awful crash. my 9300 shudders even when opening Google.
