Hi Bitco,
I am currently trying to download the Arma 3 Life files using their launcher. It is downloading at terrible speeds though. Can someone please have a look?

Did you switch off the P2P on the download? Seems to be using P2P and not direct link.
I'm not sure how I would go about doing that with the launcher they provided.
Hi StormHorse,Sorry I'm a little confused now, when I spoke to one of your reps directly they explained to me that streaming is unaffected by the FUP yet (and please correct me if i'm wrong here) you state that streaming as with all services that pass through the core will count towards the FUP limit.
I have this on black and white if it matters.
I know on most downloaders you have an option to switch off P2P. I know Blizzard and Origin has it. I have never tried to download Arma though. Will see if I can source something off the net.
Hi StormHorse,
Unfortunatly who ever gave you that info is miss informed and we (BitCo) need to take it up with individual.
all internet traffic flows through our core and counts towards the FUP, we would love to remove streaming from that count but technically its a lot harder then it sounds. so to assist we increased the time to hit the FUP for the trial users so you would be able to stream for longer before being FUP'd.
I hope that clears up any confusion.
Regards
Jarryd

Having an expectation that one "should be able to stream HD video uninterrupted" is not necessarily reasonable, or even practical, at this price point.
Hi jcheek
Having an expectation based on what was advertised is very valid. Else is it perhaps false advertising or a means of attracting customers and then once signed up to tell them "Sorry thats not possible even though we said we could" ?
Just my thought![]()
I'm a bit frustrated with the service I am getting from Bitco. I was told that I have a signal, but that los was questionable because of a tree in my garden. I subsequently cut that tree down, sent the photos of proof and los through, but one week later no response. I tried various times to call them, left messages to phone me back. One time I got through, but got told they were waiting for the technician to look at the photos... but nothing so far. How long does it take for a technician to glance at a photo? All I can say is Eish! no man, I was so positive about Bitco.
BitCo guys just finished at my place. Friendly, efficient and tidy. Great service. Now for the soaking period and then internets!
