What was ETH premine?
That was kept aside for the foundation /founders 12m

That is $30 billion at todays value

Now yes vitalik probably has nothing to do with this and not profiting from the fluff piece

He took his slice right in the begining of eth

And then naturally the other thing we don't know is how much of the btc they received on those presales got recycled into more eth for themselves

You receive the btc for eth tokens sold

Use the same btc to buy yourself more eth rinse repeat since the btc wasn't burned and the only people that would know is the insiders, and who exactly is going to incriminate himself to burn others ?

Eth is probably the biggest legitimate scam in this space

Do you even know what the eth foundation does ? They continually fund developers that is why eth has the most developers building and it isn't even close, plus the amount the foundation has left is way less than 0.5% of the current supply.

Yes the % they have of total supply will always shrink

Eth isn't fixed supply sure there is a cap on quantity released per year but it keeps printing

The premine is probably just the tip of the iceberg

Lots of these coun offerings have an exploit

ie the btc that comes in could have been cycled

ie btc comes in from a legitimate token buyer
Then that btc could get cycled again and again

ie use the btc to buy more tokens it could have been a printing press making our fiat funny money look legit

Sorry most of these coins are projecting legitimacy and probably have some skeletons in the closet

Here satoshi truly excelled
That paper headline encoded into the genesis block showed that no premine was done

And all coins he has was mined legitimately in an open competition

Edit : ad to that the amount of crypto related coders/influencers that keep putting their foot in their mouths claiming owning child porn should not be ilegal , only the production of said media

And leaks of under the table money deals

It becomes harder and harder to believe any of these crypto bro's aren't scammers

No wonder satoshi went into hiding , sure as **** would not want to be associated with any of these scammers

Side note used to be true believer in the idea and still own some , so not a boomer ranting about crypto , though old enough to be called a boomer

Proposal

This BUIP proposes two items:
  1. Work and support for the NEXA cryptocurrency becomes the sole focus for the B.U. organisation, at least until the end of 2033.
  2. Work and support for the BCH cryptocurrency is officially discontinued.
    However, this may cause an issue for BCH users (such as loss of compatibility with the annual hard-forks). Therefore, any willing, competent BCH full node developer, with an appropriate track record, may apply to the B.U. Lead Developer to become maintainer for the BCH_unlimited BCH repository on Gitlab. He may then merge relevant patches for continued full node compatibility.

This is still up to a vote, and isn't a big deal. The BCH community is huge, and BCH is also mature, and doing well on the charts. It will continue to be maintained.

Just adding this here should any misunderstanding arise.

Nexa though... they need way better community marketers.

Has anyone here been able to buy Amazon Gift Cards from Coinsbee or CryptoRefills and use it on the Amazon.com site?
I'm not sure about the region limitations but from what I understand, if I buy a US region gift card I should be able to use on during my cart checkout on Amazon.com.....

Just wanted to make sure before I try it.
The time has come to reward myself a little bit for not giving in an using any BTC since 2017.

also trying my hand at this ETH/altcoin stake business of Luno,

is it still illegal to operate a coinbase wallet in SA? or does SARS not care.
 
Something strange happening on Luno - the price refuses to go above 1 400 000 but on VALR, current price is 1 440 000 which is correct.

weekend trading is typically lower volume even though the market is trading 24/7

VALR's trading looks like a typical squeeze during low liquidity trading times, so in fact it is the less "correct" price, you can clearly see how the price jumped like mad around 7am:

compare that to Luno's trades and you see more overall volume traded over a wider time range, still a strong upswing from 2am to 6am, but nothing like that instant spike in one hour:

TL;DR: there's no such thing as a "correct" price, there is only the market dynamics, but in this case Luno's trading looks more natural / organic than VALR's
 
Never been in here for a proper bullrun before.

When do you folks start getting excited in here or are we just all so bullish that the trip to the moon is locked in?

depends what your goals are I take profit all the time - been in this since Mt Gox collapse.

I dont care much for tech I care about profit.

If you want to hodl ignore the noise and just carry on with life if you in this for profit take some around 20-30% etc.
