as low as it can go to process bitcoin related activity, so basically the cost of electricity, servers, real estate, labour and whatever else is required to keep these things going

once those costs can't be recovered, its not viable to process bitcoin and it would then shutdown

Not at all, diff just adjusts, if there is one person on the planet mining it'll be back to 1 core cpu mining

Holding pretty steady over 8. If it keeps these levels until the yanks wake up it should go over 10 today imo.

mining is not the only thing required to process bitcoin activity, whats the point of mining if nobody uses it for transactionary purposes?
