Recently used coinbase pro for the first time.

...much prefer that interface since it's similar in logic to share trading platforms like IB. Bunch of money wasted on fees previously but can't be helped now

Which one?
An alt - Conflux. Need to figure out eth staking too

That's been there for yonks. They never enforced it unless things changed now.

Yes thats what I am getting at. Things have changed and they started to enforced flagging processors for crypto internationally as gambling transactions.

The more obscure payment processors like moonpay is not flagged yet, places like known exchanges like cex.io is flagged as gambling transaction, I suspect binance being flagged as gambling transaction and even more well known external processors like coinmama is flagged as gambling transaction.

worked for me on Binance relatively recently, also Cex.io and just yesterday bought some ETH via Wyre

When did you use it on cex.io ? I have been rejected as gambling transaction with my capitec card for over a year now on cex.io and nothing I can do about that.

few months back, and I literally just did it on Binance which worked fine

Did you deposit USD or ZAR ?

I think it is quite possible that ZAR deposits wont be an issue since Binance process ZAR transactions via a South African company so there is no cross border fx on it.

Just my guess because I definitely cannot use capitec cards at binance.

Binance processes South African card transactions via Simplex i.e. it is international, always, Simplex has no local entity and Binance AFAIK has no operational bank account in ZA anymore

to answer your question though within the website interface I was denominating everything in ZAR and bought BTC directly, that doesn't necessarily mean the transaction happened in ZAR

judging by the transaction description captured I can't imagine Capitec doesn't know what it was for either:

Damn eth just won’t quit. Was hoping to buy in on a dip but looks like that’s not happening
