Bitdefender 10 Internet Security

Hi spikey24,

I know this might sound stupid, but what the hell....

I have three PCs in a home network with one of them connecting to the internet. I can enable Internet sharing for the other two, no problem. BUT, I cannot enable File & Printer sharing for the network, UNLESS I set my firewall profile up with the "trusted LAN" setting. (Which is, from what I understand from the helpfile, not considered the best option if you connect directly to the internet)?? The LAN is trusted, not the NET. (If you know what I mean). My question is thus... If I select the trusted LAN option, how secure is my Internet Security wrt port sniffing etc???
 
Sorry, forgot something. I also asked the technical advice people from Bitdefender the same question and they suggested me to use the "Trusted LAN" selection and that my PC will remain secure. Not that I don't trust or believe them, I would just like to hear other people's opinions.
