Bizarre racial attack on train passengers

Black cap, white Tshirt, and RED shorts, with socks pulled up to his knees?
Sounds like he is an out-patient for the mentally challenged, and his beratement was some form of psychotic outburst.
Typical press though, "Racial" because he was a white man....bleagh

err - no - racial because he was a white man who said what he said.

Let's not forget there are people, who, irrespective of colour, are racists and it seems pretty clear from this article that this guy would fall into this category.

Kaya Zweni of the Human Rights Commission said the racially abusive passenger’s actions had violated several human rights, including the right to human dignity, equality and privacy. “This is racism at its worst. We would be happy to take the case on,” he said.
This after one press report.
Where was Kaya Zweni and the HRC after the alleged racist bus driver issue?

Let's face it, this guy is a few loaves short of a picnic. Who in their right mind would tell a train full of black people that they are baboons? His red shorts would also have been a clue.

If the odd minor incident on a train is the worst the propagandists can pin against whites these days then we've come a helluva long way as a country and our hands are pretty damn clean.

On the other hand, I know just enough of a few of the African languages to have heard numerous racist hate-filled insults against me just for being white over just the past few years - some of the insults were just as bad (and some publicly insulting and degrading) as the baboon comments. It happens all the time, in fact it seems to be everyday and mundane - nobody who hears and understands these things even bats an eyelid. I wonder where's the uproar. Not to mention we know for a fact that whites are being murdered for being white too, on a regular basis, but nobody in the media says a word on any of this ... tjoepstil. Remember kids, only whites can be bad! I'm actually at the point of being fed up of being treated like dirt just for being white.

Just out of interest sake how many similar cases were there with a black person being racist towards white people except the buss incident ?

But everytime it was "justified" by some forum members and also the black person who was being racist. And we did not even hear a peep from Kaya Zweni and his HRC.

SOUTH AFRICA: DOUBLY STANDARDS FTW

You should have seen the meal that was made of a minor incident (now discredited) on a bus last week.

Justified,,,, really?

Cant remember the exact details now but remember a while ago, a high profile black guy was pulled over and moaning its because I am black?

Even people here on the forum defended him saying its because of his past etc..

This is just one example.

You'll have to try better than that. Do you mean McBride? Or Judge Motata

I don't see anyone here defending either of them.

No not one of them I did a search on the topic and see it was deleted, but you might remember it the thread title was 'It is because I am black'

My point is that when a black guy is being racist theres always a lot more people trying to defend the person for his action as with the bus driver accident even before the truth came to light.

But when a white person was racist no one even made the "innocent till proven guilty" comment yet and Kaya Zweni and his HRC immediatley jumped onto the bandwagon. Like it was said earlier in this thread where were Kaya Zweni to investigate with the buss incident again before it came to light the kids were talking BS

Dont get me wrong I am not trying to defend this guy at all, afterall he is just hurting South Africans even more with these stupid racial insults.

I get what you are saying DS (and lets be honest, the race card is overplayed by all sides) but lets also look at another perspective.

re the Bus driver dude. I don't think anyone was defending him at all, just that the people that were not quite ready to tar, feather and lynch him from the nearest tree were just saying 'hold on, whats the full story here first', at least that is my personal take on it.

As for the HRC, we don't know what was done (if anything) by the HRC with the bus incident. We cannot categorically say that nothing was done.

A possible scenario is that someone from the HRC in that jurisdiction could've phoned the bus company and some of the respective students and formed an opinion that the story was nonsense, which warranted no further action.

The guys attire was very telling, to the point that the journalist was interested in describing it. I think the journalist wanted to give the readers context.

I think he is on the lunatic fringe and not worth discussing. Not that some people would not try to justify his ludicrious actions.
