Hi all,

So here is my tale of woe, I'm trying to setup my 2P HD PVR using 1 LNB cable and a splitter. However I only ever get signal to the tuners from 1 of the splitter ports ie the right one it you look at it from the top. I have swapped out cables and splitter and setup the PVR to my complex setting to no avail. I only ever get signal to one of the tuners using the splitter no matter how its configured

Any idea as to what i'm doing wrong?

nope you don't, My neighbour is setup with 1 LNB, we have some fancy type complex installation with a whole whack of special settings. I'm missing something painfully obvious i just can't figure out what it is

I have just come to a similar conclusion myself. Splitter is unpowered, all the cable work fine on extension and passthru. However the second the splitter gets involved nothing get through. I am thinking perhaps the splitter drops the power too much and thus nothing works.

So the question is where what how do I get a powered splitter and how much do they cost?

Ask your neighbour if he had to put any additional network settings into his decoder. I think this is the problem here. It is an IF conversion system in your block and you need those additional settings, otherwise you will always be missing channels (BBC, Animal P, Crime etc etc)...

I just bought my splitter at Audio Vision for R500 odd (two to six) - it didn't come with a power adapter, but a connection for one, so yours might be the same...
