Black background vs White.

Opens virtually instantaneously on iPad. I think the problem is between the chair and keyboard

Not between white and black, but between Black and red or White and Red there is!

Hear me out!

Background-color="#FFFFFF" = White = 7Bytes.
Background-color="#000000" = Black = 7Bytes.

Background-color="white" = White = 5Bytes.
Background-color="black" = Black = 5Bytes.

Background-color="white" = White = 5Bytes.
Background-color="red" = Black = 3Bytes.

See maybe its not black and white maybe you have some red in there.
so i suggest you upgrade you internet connection, so that it can load the extra 2 or 4 bytes a bit quicker.

:D

Acid. Did you use a tablet or a computer? My eyesight is perfect and even though my tab shows H+ speed, it is slow to open. Sometimes it "Times Out"

As Tablets are becoming more popular as the internet device of choice, surely the websites owners should accommodate for this.

I was not actually "arguing" with the owner. I was having a "Heated discussion" with him.

I used my iPad, a friends Galaxy "tablet" phone and my iPhone to check.

None of those timed out even once. So maybe it's your ISP. Have you tried connecting through wifi that goes through an ADSL account? (the Galaxy I tested on as well as my iPhone went through cellular network, and I tested my iPhone on my local Wifi too)

All of which shows quite clearly, what you are complaining about you can't see. I have 20/20 vision. Held the tablet about arms length away from me (although I had my phone closer as per usual). Which tablet are you using? Pc Palm pilot with monochrome screen?

Heated discussion or not. You were telling him something he know wasn't true, and you checked your facts AFTERWARDS. Then freaked out because someone called you silly? You need to calm the **** down online. Having this "I'll fight with you because I don't know something but I'm speculating and before I can find out the facts, tell you you're wrong" type attitude doesn't work here. Maybe in real life "heated discussions", but you'll soon find 50 guys "heatedly discussing" with you and calling you names when you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

If its just hex code then it wont make a difference, if they used a black image as the background well that is a different story.

They are using an image for the background, and not just a small image that is tiled but a large image to cover the screen which is silly web design. It's only 15kb so it shouldn't make any real difference, but still, not well designed...

also the background could be a tiled 24x24 png or some**** compared to a 1080p black background.
