I also bought my daughter some LOL dolls & accessories & some Model books from Takealot. Saved me 50% on her Christmas gifts with a few of the R250 codes.

This is the 1st Black Friday I purchased anything. Next year I'll be prepared. I'll make a list of needs & have enough extra funds to buy all our Christmas gifts.

I am awaiting a better deal for fibre on "Cyber Monday". One of the advertisers on the Black Friday MyBB promotion offered fibre at a discounted price. When I ordered it at 08h00 on Friday I got 2 excuses why my order could not be fulfilled

A total sham

Same with my local Ultra Liquor. Adverts for two varieties of wine, reduced from R190 to R100 a bottle. Got in as they opened at 09h00 on Friday and none to be had. Manager not interested, said there is plenty of other wine to be had

We're still not quite pulling off black Friday like the US, but there definitely were deals. Those who reckon there weren't are probably cheapskates ;)
